Methodology

How Local Data Insights Builds Market Data

Learn where the data comes from, how snapshots are processed and checked, and what limitations should be considered when using datasets and reports.

Data Sources

All Local Data Insights research is based on publicly available business information. Sources may include Google Business listings, company websites and other publicly available business profiles. Additional geographic, contact and digital signals may be used to improve consistency, coverage and location accuracy.

Snapshot Principle

Data reflects the market at the time the snapshot was created. Datasets and reports are not live registries and do not automatically reflect changes that occur after the observation date. New snapshots are published separately and make it possible to track market changes over time.

Quality Processing

Before publication, data undergoes processing and quality control. The process includes record normalization, duplicate detection, category review, contact validation, website and social profile verification, and geographic standardization. Information from multiple public sources is consolidated into a unified structure for market analysis and research.

Coverage Scope

Research includes only entities that match the selected market, geography and study criteria. Coverage always relates to a specific dataset, report, geography or field and should be interpreted within that context.

Limitations

Local Data Insights datasets and research are not official government registries and do not guarantee complete market coverage. They reflect the companies and information that were discovered, collected and processed at the time of the snapshot. Market conditions may change over time, and some inaccuracies or omissions may remain despite quality control procedures.
